About Me

As a Brazilian doula, I bring a unique blend of cultural understanding and diverse experiences to support you and your family during the transformative postpartum period. The last couple years, I've had the privilege of assisting more than 15 families on their parenting journey, and I'm here to provide comprehensive support tailored to your needs.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful but often challenging aspect of early motherhood. I have extensive experience helping mothers establish and maintain successful breastfeeding relationships with their newborns. Whether you're looking for guidance on latching, pumping, or addressing common breastfeeding concerns, I'm here to lend my expertise and ensure you feel confident in your breastfeeding journey.

Sleep is a precious commodity for new parents, and I specialize in sleep training techniques that can help your baby establish healthy sleep patterns. I understand the exhaustion that comes with caring for a newborn, and I'm here to provide guidance on creating a nurturing sleep environment and implementing gentle sleep training methods that work for you and your baby.

In addition to breastfeeding and sleep support, I offer assistance with bottle feeding, including proper feeding techniques and hygiene. I can also take care of the practical aspects, such as washing bottles and pump parts, so you can focus on bonding with your baby and taking care of yourself.

Emotional support is a cornerstone of my practice. The postpartum period can be emotionally challenging, and I'm here to listen, provide a compassionate ear, and offer guidance on managing the emotional ups and downs that can accompany this time of adjustment. My non-judgmental and empathetic approach ensures you have a safe space to express your feelings and concerns.

In summary, my doula practice is rooted in my Brazilian heritage and my dedication to supporting families through the intricate journey of early parenthood. Whether you need assistance with breastfeeding, sleep training, bottle feeding, or emotional support, I'm here to provide the expert care and personalized attention you and your family deserve. Together, we can navigate this beautiful and transformative period in your lives.

MY PHILOSOPHY

MY PHILOSOPHY

BIRTH

My philosophy of birth revolves around love. The three guiding principles for my approach are Love, Patience, and Trust. For me, these values form the foundation because I believe in your inner strength and the natural readiness that mothers have for childbirth. I trust in your ability to navigate this momentous occasion, and I believe that having someone close by enhances the process.

During your birth, my role is to ensure you feel supported and cherished. I prioritize respecting your choices and listening to you attentively throughout. Together, we collaborate to make this experience as positive and empowering as possible.

POSTPARTUM

    Phone and Email Support

  •    I am available to answer any questions you may have throughout your pregnancy and during the postpartum period. Whether it's about newborn care, breastfeeding, or adjusting to parenthood, I'm here to provide guidance and reassurance.

     Nighttime Plan

  • Together, we develop a plan that suits your needs. Initially, I assist by bringing the baby to you on demand for feeding. As the baby transitions to bottle feeding, I take responsibility for feeding times.

  • Typically, babies feed every two to three hours at night. After feeding, I handle burping, changing, swaddling, and settling the baby back to sleep.

   - We can adjust this routine based on your preferences and the baby's cues. If needed, I can also assist with soothing techniques or implementing sleep strategies.]

  • Before I leave in the morning, I ensure the baby is comfortably settled back in your room or leave a monitor with you for peace of mind.

      Daily Check-Ins

  •    We schedule daily check-ins at 10pm when I arrive to discuss any questions or concerns you have about the day. This includes how you are feeling physically and emotionally, allowing us to adjust our nighttime routine as needed.

  •    Adjusting our nighttime schedule based on your feedback helps create a supportive environment tailored to your evolving needs.

       Importance of a Good Schedule

  •    Setting up a consistent nighttime schedule is crucial for first-time parents to feel confident and understand their baby's cues. A predictable routine promotes stability and enhances your ability to respond effectively to your baby's needs.

  •     I provide guidance on establishing a nurturing nighttime routine that fosters bonding and supports your confidence in caring for your newborn.

This personalized approach aims to support you comprehensively during the postpartum period, ensuring both you and your baby receive the best care possible while adapting to the joys and challenges of parenthood.
